The Sorceress' Apprentice

The Sorceress Apprentice was designed and created as part of my series of Disney Parks inspired gowns. This gown was based on the former Sorcerer Mickey hat from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and includes several minor details that separate it from the standard Sorcerer Mickey hat, including the golden glowing stars and moon and swirling seams down the gown. The design also draws inspiration from the Fantasmic! Mickey costume design from Hollywood Studios. The uses of velvet fabric and rope trim are inspired by this costume.

 

This piece was self-patterned and sewn from velvets and fiber optic fabric with gold rope accents. This gown was photographed indoors due to quarantine and edited into Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Backgrounds in the photos are property of the Walt Disney Company.
