About Me

I'm Sky! I'm an award winning designer and costumer from Orlando, Florida. I love mixing the familiarity of characters and media I love with unconventional, out-of-the-box design elements to create truly one-of-a-kind costume and fashion designs.

My grandmother began teaching me how to sew when I was a child, sparking my costuming journey. I spent several years assisting her and my mother in the creation of figure skating costumes which taught me even more about costume creation and design. After receiving tickets to my first convention for my 13th birthday, I began using the skills they taught me to create cosplay costumes. Not long after taking up cosplay as a hobby, I realized that my true passion was creating my own costume designs and "geek fashion" pieces.

My current work is heavily influenced by the camp and avant-garde fashion movements. I love experimenting with design and garment creation techniques and using minor details and stylistic choices to tell stories within my designs and pay tribute to the source material.
